Hello, I'm Joe Hernandez. I was born in Lakewood, California ๐ด and moved to Minnesota โ๏ธ at a young age. I've always had a deep interest in electronicsโtaking things apart, modifying them, and learning how they worked. From customizing hardware to experimenting with different components, I enjoyed exploring the mechanics behind everyday devices ๐ง.
When the iPhone was released ๐ฑ, I became captivated by the idea of being able to run websites from anywhere ๐. Then, when the App Store launched ๐ ๏ธ, I realized I wanted to become a software engineerโto create applications that people could use every day. I taught myself Objective-C, along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and even managed to deploy a few simple games to the Apple Store ๐ฎ!
When Swift first came out ๐, I jumped right in and began learning it. However, over time, I found myself drawn more to backend development ๐ป. I started exploring languages like Java โ and C#, which eventually led me to the world of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). I discovered that I have a passion for troubleshooting ๐ and ensuring a seamless experience for users, which is what brought me into the SRE field.
Today, I'm passionate about building robust, scalable infrastructures ๐ณ and automating processes to deliver the highest quality experiences for end users. Whether it's deploying cloud resources โ๏ธ, setting up CI/CD pipelines ๐, or monitoring system performance ๐, I love solving complex problems and finding ways to make systems more efficient and reliable โ๏ธ.
