About Me ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป

Hello, I'm Joe Hernandez. I was born in Lakewood, California ๐ŸŒด and moved to Minnesota โ„๏ธ at a young age. I've always had a deep interest in electronicsโ€”taking things apart, modifying them, and learning how they worked. From customizing hardware to experimenting with different components, I enjoyed exploring the mechanics behind everyday devices ๐Ÿ”ง.

When the iPhone was released ๐Ÿ“ฑ, I became captivated by the idea of being able to run websites from anywhere ๐ŸŒ. Then, when the App Store launched ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ, I realized I wanted to become a software engineerโ€”to create applications that people could use every day. I taught myself Objective-C, along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and even managed to deploy a few simple games to the Apple Store ๐ŸŽฎ!

When Swift first came out ๐Ÿš€, I jumped right in and began learning it. However, over time, I found myself drawn more to backend development ๐Ÿ’ป. I started exploring languages like Java โ˜• and C#, which eventually led me to the world of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). I discovered that I have a passion for troubleshooting ๐Ÿ” and ensuring a seamless experience for users, which is what brought me into the SRE field.

Today, I'm passionate about building robust, scalable infrastructures ๐ŸŒณ and automating processes to deliver the highest quality experiences for end users. Whether it's deploying cloud resources โ˜๏ธ, setting up CI/CD pipelines ๐Ÿ”„, or monitoring system performance ๐Ÿ“Š, I love solving complex problems and finding ways to make systems more efficient and reliable โš™๏ธ.
